Things to Do

THE CLIFF WALK

The Cliff Walk in Newport is a beautiful 3.5 mile walk that combines the natural beauty of the Newport shoreline with the architectural history of Newport's Gilded Age.

SHOPPING ON THAMES ST.

Thames St. is one of the oldest continuously used streets in Rhode Island, with many well-preserved colonial-era buildings, some dating back to the early 18th century. Considered the heart of downtown Newport, Thames St. runs along the waterfront and offers an array of boutiques, galleries and restaurants.

INTERNATIONAL TENNIS HALL OF FAME

A visit to the International Tennis Hall of Fame is more than a museum tour—it’s an immersive dive into the birth of American tennis (first U.S. nationals held here in 1881), mingling historic architecture, interactive sports exhibits, and vibrant summer events. Whether you’re a casual fan, tennis player, architectural aficionado, or group traveler, this is one of Newport’s most entertaining and unique destinations.

NEWPORT MANSIONS TOURS

Tour one of Newport's 11 historic mansion properties, seven of which are National Historic Landmarks—spanning architectural styles from Colonial Georgian to French Beaux-Arts. Step into palatial estates and see life as Newport’s wealthy elite lived it during the Gilded Age.

A COCKTAIL AT THE GARDINER HOUSE

From cocktails at Studio Bar to coastal flavors at Flora, each space at Gardiner House offers its own rhythm. Lawn Bar brings seasonal drinks outside, while GH Provisions serves coffee and light fare to take with you—or sit with.

NEWPORT VINEYARDS

Spanning over 60 acres of vineyards on 100+ acres of preserved farmland, Newport Vineyards produces a variety of award-winning, estate-grown wines—from crisp Rieslings to bold Cabernet Franc. Adjacent on-site is Taproot Brewery, offering rotating small-batch craft beers—perfect if you want both wine and beer experiences.

Questions & Answers

When / where should I RSVP?

Details and the RSVP deadline will be included in your formal invitation. This will be shared closer to the wedding date!

What is the dress code for Welcome Drinks on Friday?

Casual attire — think Friday night drinks with family and friends after work at a coastal bar.

What is the dress code for the Wedding Day on Saturday?

This is a formal event.
Gentlemen: Please wear a suit and tie.
Ladies: Formal cocktail attire or long dresses are perfect.
Need color inspiration? Think deep greens, rich browns, warm ochres and oranges, soft creams, classic black, and timeless navy. Please avoid purples, hot pinks, and bright blues — we’re aiming for a grounded, earthy palette that compliments the vision for our celebration.

Are kids welcome?

Our family is full of wonderful little ones, and they are warmly welcome to join us for the church ceremony at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church. However, the reception will be an adults-only celebration. We kindly ask that you enjoy this special night kids-free, with our deepest thanks for your understanding.

Can I bring a date / my significant other?

We’d love to include all significant others. However, due to capacity limitations, only those listed on your formal invitation will be able to attend.

Is there parking at the ceremony and reception?

Yes, parking is available at both St. Mary Roman Catholic Church and Oceancliff.

Are you registered? Where?

Yes! Our registry can be found at the bottom of our wedding website. Linked through Zola.
